* To include introduction of Steering Committee members and soliciting input about Regional Network workshop topics for 2017.
** Eligible participants of the Study Group are partially and fully trained EMDR therapists. The group is facilitated by two EMDRIA Certified EMDR therapists (Brenda Rohren and Tanya Randolph-Elgin) and participants discuss cases (with no PHI) regarding the use of EMDR therapy. Participants obtain feedback from each other to improve their clinical skills and demonstrate fidelity to approved EMDR therapy protocols. This Study Group cannot be used to document consultation hours towards EMDRIA certification.
Objectives. Many EMDR therapists have questions about the Standard Protocol after completion of the initial training. Even after many years of experience with EMDR therapy, it is easy to inadvertently begin deviating from the Standard Protocol. The purpose of this workshop topic is to help clinicians identify common mistakes. Specifically, the objectives are:
-
To increase knowledge of the Standard Protocol by looking at common errors and problems that can occur.
-
To increase the confidence and effectiveness of the participants in their use of the EMDR therapy Standard Protocol
-
To encourage participants to keep to the Standard Protocol where possible and to understand the circumstances when it may be necessary to deviate from it.
A 1-year membership in EMDRIA will be donated by our corporate sponsor

The drawing will only occur if at least 10 partially or fully trained EMDR therapists are in attendance at the meeting. Individuals eligible to enter the drawing need to provide verification of completion of an EMDRIA Approved Basic Training. If the winner is not already a member of our Regional Network, s/he is asked to join. (Individuals who have won a membership in the past 12 months, Behavioral Health Resources personnel, and Regional Network Steering Committee members are ineligible for this drawing.)
