Join us at our Regional Network meeting for a Live Stream workshop from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

  • 7:40 - 8:00 am:  Welcoming remarks by Jim Helling, LICSW (Regional Coordinator of the Western Mass EMDRIA Regional Network)
  • 8:00 - 9:30 am:  Keynote Address: "Recovering Community--Helping Complex Trauma Survivors Find Their Way Home " - Hope Payson, LICSW       
  • 9:45 - 11:15 am:  "EMDR and the Mapping Protocol w/ Hispanic Immigrants and Other Populations w/ a History of Relocation"  - Carmen Jimenez, Ed.D., LCSW
  • 11:15 am - 12:45 pm:  Lunch Break - on your own
  • 12:45 - 4:00 pm:   "Tactical Integration in the Conference Room:  A Safe and Efficient Path to Healing Structural Dissociation with EMDR" - George Abbott, Ph.D.      

Brochure.  Click here.Eligibility.   Completion of an EMDRIA approved Basic Training is required for registration.  CEUs.  This workshop is approved for 6 EMDRIA credits. CEUs for Mental Health Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Psychologists, and Social Workers are pending approval. This program is co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Psychological Association (MPA). MPA is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor Continuing Education (CE) for psychologists. MPA maintains responsibility for the program and its content. Certificates of attendance will be provided to all eligible attendees.    

Cost:  $65 --  this is a special rate provided to EMDRIA Regional Networks that offer the workshop as a Live Stream at a Regional Network meeting.   

Payment:  After you register on our website, our Regional Coordinator, Brenda Rohren, will send an e-mail to you with the website link for additional registration requirements and to make credit card payments.

Need a Hotel?  Because we contract with the Training for Addiction Professionals (TAP) Program for the workshop site, attendees at our workshops are eligible for discounted rates at the New Victorian Inn & Suites, located in close proximity to the workshop site (at 225 N. 50th Street).  Mention that you are attending a TAP training when you register and you will receive the discounted rates:  $54.99 + taxes for a King Suite and $64.99 for a Double Queen Suite. 

A 1-year membership in EMDRIA will be donated by our corporate sponsor   

The drawing will only occur if at least 10 partially or fully trained EMDR therapists are in attendance at the meeting.  Individuals eligible to enter the drawing need to provide verification of completion of an EMDRIA Approved Basic Training.  If the winner is not already a member of our Regional Network, s/he is asked to join.  (Individuals who have won a membership in the past 12 months, Behavioral Health Resources personnel, and Regional Network Steering Committee members are ineligible for this drawing.)
