Workshop Objectives. The Multidimensional Inventory of Dissociation (MID) is a valuable assessment tool for EMDR therapists to determine the presence of pathological dissociation and readiness for desensitization. This workshop was originally presented at the 2017 EMDRIA Conference in Bellevue, Washington in August 2017 and was the introduction to the EMRIA community of the updated MID Analysis (v4.0) and MID Manual (2nd edition). Updates include DSM-5 verbiage, bug/layout fixes, and an illustrated guide to reading and interpreting the MID Report. Detailed instructions, clinical interview tips, case examples, and use in consultation will be reviewed. Click here to view the detailed description of the content and objectives.

Presenter. D. Michael Coy, MA, LICSW, is a Seattle-based therapist whose treatment interests include pre-verbal and attachment trauma, addictions/compulsions, and complex trauma and the dissociative disorders. Dell, PhD, in 2016 to overhaul the MID Analysis and MID Manual. Michael is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, has basic training in clinical hypnosis through ASCH, and is also trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
